Altuna Halilovic studied medicine in Nijmegen, after which she worked for a year as an ANIOS in the Cardiology department at Rijnstate. She then studied pathology at the Radboudumc, the Jeroen Bosch Hospital and at PAMM in Eindhoven. During her studies, she conducted research in the field of breast cancer, in collaboration with the Tumor Immunology department. During her studies, she was a board member of the National Pathology Assistants Association for two years and she followed a masterclass in the field of quality, safety and innovation in healthcare.
