Nikki Knijn followed her course of study in pathology at the Radboudumc Nijmegen, Canisius Wilhelmina Hospital, Rijnstate and University of California San Francisco. Before and during her studies, she engaged in scientific research that resulted in her doctoral degree in 2018 entitled: 'Pathways of Dissemination in Colorectal Cancer'. At the end of her education, she studied gastrointestinal pathology, liver pathology and dermatopathology in San Francisco (UCSF). Since completing her studies, she has been working as a pathologist at Pathologie-DNA at the Rijnstate location.
