Mr. Joost van Gorp MD PhD, pathologist (Nieuwegein)

Joost van Gorp graduated as a pathologist at UMC Utrecht after studying medicine at the University of Utrecht. He obtained his doctorate at the University of Utrecht with the thesis: "Epstein-Barr virus in malignant lymphomas with emphasis on nasal T-cell lymphomas".

His career started in 1994 as a pathologist and staff member at UMC Utrecht. Since 1996 he has been working as a pathologist at the Diakonessenhuis in Utrecht. He participates in the oncology committee and is a member of the Central Program Committee until 1 April 2018 as an instructor.

He has been working as a pathologist at the Nieuwegein location since 2018 and is part of the Pathology DNA.

Joost van Gorp is chair of the regional soft tissue panel and member of the regional lymphoma panel.
