Pathology is developing strongly with increasing subspecialty and use of molecular techniques. Optimal communication with the requesting physician is of great importance. The collaboration within pathology DNA makes it possible to make the latest techniques available, close to the requesting physician and the patient. "
Michiel van den Brand (1984) studied Medicine at the Radboud University Nijmegen (2009), followed by the pathology training at Radboudumc Nijmegen, Jeroen Bosch Hospital Den Bosch and the PAMM Eindhoven Foundation. During the training he has studied hematopathology by conducting research and additional internships, including at the Hospital Clínnic in Barcelona. He has done doctoral research on better diagnostics of low-grade B-cell lymphomas. Since 2016 he has been working as a pathologist at the Rijnstate location.
