Mirthe de Boer completed most of her educational training at UMC Utrecht. In recent years, she has specialised in cytology, hematopathology and breast pathology. In 2023, she hopes to obtain her PhD on the topic of early precursor lesions in the breast.
She started her career as a pathologist at the UMC Utrecht, where she held the position of unit head of cytology. As of 1 September 2022, she has been working as a pathologist at Pathology-DNA.
