Peet Nooijen did his PhD research at the Radboud University Nijmegen with the thesis 'Regression patterns in melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma after TNF-based isolated limb perfusion'. After his pathologist training at Radboudumc, he worked at the PAMM foundation in Eindhoven. He particularly focused on the subspeciality of Hematopathology. In 2005 he made the switch to the Pathology partnership, and has since been working for the Jeroen Bosch hospital and Bernhoven Hospital. Since 2011 he is a B educator Pathology at the Jeroen Bosch hospital.
